LISBON, Portugal (AP) - Benfica came from behind to beat 10-man Moreirense 3-1 and take the lead of the Portuguese league while its main rivals stumbled on Sunday.

Moreirense took the lead through Joao Pedro’s 16th-minute goal but went a man down when Marcelo Oliveira got his second booking in the 56th.

Eliseu Pereira then fired in Benfica’s equalizer in the 69th. Maxi Pereira grabbed the lead in the 77th, and Lima converted a penalty in the 83rd to secure the victory.

Benfica’s win came while FC Porto was held 0-0 at home by Boavista and Rio Ave lost 2-1 at home to Arouca.

Benfica leads Guimaraes and Porto by two points. Rio Ave and Belenenses, which beat Maritimo 1-0, are three points behind the defending champion.
