MEXICO, N.Y. (AP) - The Oswego County Sheriff’s office is investigating a fiery one-car crash in northern New York.

Police were called to a crash on State Route 104 in the village of Mexico at 2:45 a.m. Sunday. They found a 2001 Buick LeSabre crashed and burning. The driver didn’t survive.

Police say the car had swerved off the road and hit a mailbox and a tree. Unsafe speed was cited as a factor in the crash.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released, pending notification of relatives.
