NEW YORK (AP) - PATH train service between New York and New Jersey is suspended after a fire broke out in a PATH tunnel in Manhattan.

A Fire Department spokesman says the fire was reported at 3:38 p.m. Sunday at 19th Street and Sixth Avenue in Chelsea.

No injuries were reported but the 23rd Street station was evacuated.

A Port Authority spokesman says service between Manhattan and New Jersey is suspended.

He says New Jersey Transit is honoring PATH passes.
