NORTH BERGEN, N.J. (AP) - A motorcyclist has died after his bike crashed into a guardrail on a northern New Jersey roadway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 3:35 a.m. Sunday on Tonnelle Avenue in North Bergen. The victim’s name has not been released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities say the man was riding alone, and it did not appear that any other vehicles were involved in the accident.

A stretch of Tonnelle Avenue was closed for several hours after the crash occurred, but it had reopened by late Sunday morning.
