Pharrell Williams unveiled a new line of Adidas tennis sneakers over the weekend, customizing his own pair to carry an important message for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The “Happy” singer’s hand-painted Stan Smiths read, “Hillary Clinton Go Visit Ferguson” — a clear reference to the St. Louis suburb still simmering with racial tension following the Aug. 9 shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

The neon-blue sneakers included a bold-red equal sign on the toe box of the right shoe, which is the signature branding for his Adidas collaboration, representing his idea of equality, Complex reported.

Mr. Williams expressed his disappointment earlier this month regarding the government’s handling of the situation in Ferguson. He has also expressed his support for Mrs. Clinton if she chooses to run for president in 2016.
