BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (AP) - A 43-year-old upstate New York man is dead after police said he fought with six officers and was Tasered multiple times.
Police tell the Albany Times Union (https://bit.ly/1rfWO1Q ) that 43-year-old Daniel Satre was screaming and walking in front of cars in Ballston Spa late Saturday night.
Two Ballston Spa officers called for backup to help arrest Satre for disorderly conduct.
Police say two officers from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and two State Police troopers arrived and all six attempted to subdue Satre.
Satre was Tasered several times and became unconscious after being handcuffed.
Officers attempted to perform CPR at the scene. Satre was pronounced dead at Saratoga Hospital early Sunday.
Satre’s daughter, Amanda Conant, called him “just the most beautiful person.”
An autopsy will be performed Monday.
