SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Law enforcement officers are investigating the death of a toddler who was killed when a teenager moving a truck didn’t see the child and pulled forward, running over him.

Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals said the incident happened as family members were working on a tractor in the yard outside a home Sunday. Seals said in a news release that 16-month-old Aden C. Ball was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Knoxville News Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1qnwMEA ) said adults told investigators they didn’t know the boy had wandered outside.

The state Department of Children’s Services is also investigating.
