TICONDEROGA, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say two people are recovering after they were injured when their all-terrain vehicle collided with a police car at the end of a four-mile chase in the southeastern Adirondacks.

Police in the Essex County town of Ticonderoga tell The Post-Star of Glens Falls (https://bit.ly/1pogtHC ) that officers attempted to stop an ATV around 12:30 a.m. Sunday as it drove on Montcalm Street. The ATV’s driver didn’t stop, and police gave chase.

The ATV traveled about four miles before colliding with a police vehicle on Route 9N.

Police say the 34-year-old Ticonderoga man driving the ATV is listed in stable condition at the hospital in Burlington, Vermont. His passenger, a 24-year-old Ballston Spa man, was treated and released.

No charges have been filed yet.
