BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Montana State running back and returner Shawn Johnson has been honored by the Big Sky Conference and The Sports Network for his efforts in The Bobcats’ 52-51 loss to second-ranked Eastern Washington.

Johnson was named the Big Sky’s special teams player of the week on Monday after amassing a school record 374 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns. He had 141 kick return yards, 21 punt return yards, a career-best 150 rushing yards and 62 receiving yards. Johnson caught two touchdown passes and scored on a 70-yard run.

The Sports Network named Johnson its offensive player of the week.

The Big Sky named EWU running back Quincy Forte as its offensive player of the week. He rushed for 190 yards and four TDs against MSU. North Dakota cornerback Alex Tillman earned defensive honors after returning an interception 92 yards for a touchdown.
