NEW YORK (AP) - Police are in New York City say two men have been fatally stabbed hours apart in separate incidents in Brooklyn.

Police say Monday that Richard Saunders was found dead at about 4:40 p.m. Sunday in a Brownsville home stabbed in his head and chest.

They say Michael Imperato was found about three hours later with stab wounds in his neck in the basement of a home in the Cyprus Hills neighborhood.

The 46-year-old Imperato and 47-year-old Saunders were both pronounced dead by responding emergency medical workers.

No arrests have been made in either case.

Police are investigating but say they don’t believe the two stabbings are related.
