LEWES, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have charged a driver after four people, including three children, were hit by a car in Lewes.

It happened on Sept. 16 on Mary Ann Road. Troopers say 39-year-old Rosa Maria Cruz Molina of Rehoboth was driving on Mary Ann Road. Police say the car slowed, then accelerated and drove off the road and toward a front yard.

Officers say the car struck 22-year-old Victoria Graver of Reading, Pennsylvania, and a 3-year-old girl, an 18-month-old boy and a 4-week-old boy.

Troopers say Molina got out of her car, stayed briefly and then walked away. She was found shortly thereafter.

Graver and the children were treated and released at Beebe Medical Center. Molina was taken there for observation.

On Saturday, Molina was charged with assault and reckless endangering.
