MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Early voting for the Nov. 4 general election is underway in Vermont.

Secretary of State Jim Condos says from now until the day before the election, registered voters may request a ballot from their town clerk in person, or by phone or mail.

Condos says for any resident who has yet to register to vote or whose address has changed since the primary election, the deadline to register is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
