FRANKLIN, Ky. (AP) - Hall of Fame jockey Ron Turcotte, who rode Secretariat to his Triple Crown wins 41 years ago, is returning to Kentucky.

Turcotte will be signing autographs at Kentucky Downs in Franklin as it closes out its live racing season Wednesday. Franklin is in south-central Kentucky near the Tennessee state line off Interstate 65.

The track says Turcotte will visit with fans and sign autographs near the finish line from noon to 1 p.m. CDT and then in the Clubhouse from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from donations will benefit the Permanently Disabled Jockeys’ Fund.

Turcotte won 3,032 races during his career, including a Kentucky Derby win aboard Riva Ridge in 1972. He was left a paraplegic after falling from a horse at Belmont Park in 1978.
