SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A man is in custody after an armed standoff in Sioux Falls.

The 30-year-old suspect was treated at a hospital for minor injuries after officers subdued him with a stun gun, then taken to jail. He was arrested on assault, weapons and drug charges.

Authorities say the incident began about 1:15 p.m. Sunday with a report of a man making threats with a handgun and firing the weapon into the ground. Officers surrounded the home and evacuated neighboring houses. They were able to subdue the man about an hour later.
