SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) - Police investigating a shooting in the parking lot of a metro Atlanta shopping center have arrested a Wisconsin man on a drug charge.

Sandy Springs police said Monday they arrested 28-year-old Larry J. Walls of Milwaukee. Police say Walls was in a car with 27-year-old Mario Ross, when Ross was shot around 6 p.m. Sunday. The suspected shooters have not been caught.

Police say investigators learned Ross and Walls were part of a drug deal in the parking lot. Detectives are working to identify the others involved in the alleged drug deal and who are believed to be the shooters.

Walls faces a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Police say Ross was in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta following surgery Sunday night.
