LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska’s Ameer Abdullah is the co-offensive player of the week in the Big Ten along with Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon.

Abdullah recorded 313 all-purpose yards, including 229 yards rushing, in the Cornhuskers’ victory over Miami. Abdullah carried a career-high 35 times and accounted for three touchdowns.

Abdullah became the Huskers’ all-time leader in all-purpose yards, passing 1972 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers.

Gordon ran for 253 yards on just 13 carries and matched a school record with five touchdowns in Wisconsin’s win against Bowling Green. His 19.5 yards per carry was a school record.

Gordon helped the Badgers set a modern-era Big Ten record with 644 team rushing yards and a school record of 756 yards of total offense.
