CINCINNATI (AP) - The Cincinnati Veterans Affairs hospital staff hopes to hear from veterans and answer their questions at a town hall meeting.

VA Medical Center director Linda Smith and key staff members will lead the session Monday evening. Family and other members of the public area also invited to offer feedback and recommendations.

Veterans Affairs Secretary Bob McDonald wants VA facilities to hold such events this month to improve communication and hear directly from veterans. The former Procter & Gamble Co. CEO took over the department after a scandal unfolded over chronic delays for patients at VA facilities.

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center serves 17 counties in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
