EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - Snohomish County has given a Granite Falls quarry permission to truck rocks, gravel and sand at night until 3 a.m. to keep up with the needs of contractors building the new Boeing 777X factory at Everett.

The Daily Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1odySYk) the county hearing examiner approved the Aggregates West request for extended hours at its Green Mountain Mine because of the unusual construction project.

At a public hearing earlier this month, neighbors worried about nighttime noise and traffic.
