PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - A family has demolished a Petersburg house where four relatives were slain in April.

Raymond Washington tells The Progress-Index (https://bit.ly/1pojaZK ) that the house was a gathering place for the family. He says the family is searching for relief.

The victims were Washington’s aunt, 67-year-old Pauline Wilkins; Wilkins’ daughter, 46-year-old Vickie Chavis-Ansar; Wilkins’ granddaughter, 22-year-old Tanique Chavis, and Chavis’ 2-year-old son, Delvari Chavis.

Authorities discovered the victims’ bodies following an April 19 fire at the house. The state medical examiner has said Wilkins and Chavis-Ansar died from stab wounds. Chavis and her son died of smoke inhalation.

Authorities are searching for a person of interest in the slayings, 47-year-old Alexander Roosevelt Hill Jr. The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Hill.
