LAPEER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a third woman has died a month after a rural Michigan crash in which a car struck a parade vehicle.

Lapeer County sheriff’s officials said Tuesday that 73-year-old Grace Butterfield of Columbiaville died Monday at a Flint hospital from her injuries in the Aug. 23 crash. The Lapeer Township accident also claimed the lives of 80-year-old Jeanette Rumptz of Metamora Township and 76-year-old Janet Lough of Lapeer.

Rumptz died at the scene after turning her car left and into the truck converted to resemble a steam locomotive. It was heading to the Metamora Country Days parade about five miles away.

Seven people were ejected from the vehicle that carried 10 people overall.
