WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - Passenger traffic at Rhode Island’s T.F. Green Airport was down in August compared with the same period a year ago.

The Rhode Island Airport Corp. said Tuesday that the number of passengers who flew into or out of the airport in Warwick fell nearly 7 percent, to 332,246, compared with August 2013.

Year to date, the airport has seen passenger traffic fall 6 percent, to 2,393,620 passengers, compared with the same period last year.

Meanwhile, cargo was up 1 percent for August. For the year, it’s up nearly 4 percent.
