HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - A 34-year-old Hazlehurst man remains in the Forrest County Jail on more than $150,000 in bond after he took law enforcement officers on a high-speed chase that ended in Gulfport Friday.

The Hattiesburg American reports (https://hatne.ws/1x5NUHC ) Jamie Reese was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of a controlled substance/pills, possession of a controlled substance/spice, possession of marijuana, careless driving, felony eluding and driving with a suspended license.

Forrest County Sheriff’s Investigator Nick Calico says bonds on the felonies were set Monday at $100,000 for felony eluding, and $25,000 each for the possession of crack cocaine and possession of spice charges.

Bonds on the marijuana possession and careless driving were set at $500 each. The bonds for the other misdemeanors were not available.

No one was injured during the chase.
