EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) - A recycling plant in El Dorado will expand its operations and hire about 120 new employees.

Officials with Clean Harbors joined with Gov. Mike Beebe and state and local economic development officials to announce the plans in the southern Arkansas city on Tuesday.

The plant is used to incinerate hazardous and industrial waste generated by various business, industries and governmental entities.

The Massachusetts-based company said it plans to invest more than $100 million in the expansion project. Arkansas Economic Development Commission spokesman Scott Hardin said the jobs will pay an estimated average salary of $60,000 per year.
