LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have identified a 16-year-old boy who died after a car-to-car shooting in a Las Vegas intersection over the weekend.

Clark County coroner’s officials say Las Vegas resident Jose Manuel Hernandez Pena died at University Medical Center of multiple gunshot wounds.

Authorities say the shooting happened Sunday evening while Hernandez Pena and four others were in a vehicle at a red light at Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard. Investigators say a dark-colored vehicle pulled up next to them and a conversation ensued.

Officers say someone in the dark-colored vehicle pulled a gun and fired into the car, hitting the teen while he sat in the passenger seat.

Police were called about 7:30 p.m. to Stampa Avenue, where the wounded boy was lying in a driveway.

No arrests have been announced.
