CORINTH, Miss. (AP) - A former Farmington minister has been re-indicted on sexual battery charges by an Alcorn County grand jury.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1uDD470 ) the new indictment of Timothy Nall includes one count of sexual battery and one count of fondling.

The 59-year-old Nall is the former pastor of Farmington Baptist Church. He was tried in August in Alcorn County Circuit Court on a sexual battery charge, defending allegations that he used his finger to sexually penetrate a then-6-year-old child.

The jury could not reach a unanimous verdict, and Judge James L. Roberts Jr. declared a mistrial after more than five hours of deliberations.

Prosecutors say the new case will be put on the circuit court’s docket for November.
