FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) - Fort Carson officials say they’re investigating reports of shots fired on or near the post.

The installation was placed on lockdown for two hours Monday night after shots were reported near its northwest border just before 8 p.m. Officials haven’t released many details but say it wasn’t an “active shooter event.” No injuries were reported.

No suspects were in custody as of Tuesday.

KKTV (https://bit.ly/1og3bNQ) reports that cars backed up outside Fort Carson’s gates during the lockdown.
