MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Gov. Nikki Haley is meeting with leaders from Atlantic Beach again this week to discuss the Memorial Day weekend Atlantic Beach Bikefest.

Haley attended a town council meeting in July and area media outlets report she plans to meet with Town Manager William Booker and Mayor Jake Evans on Thursday.

Three people were killed and seven wounded in shootings last Memorial Day weekend in communities outside Atlantic Beach during the long weekend that includes Bikefest.

During a visit to Myrtle Beach on Monday, Haley again said she thinks there should be an end to the Bikefest but that it can continue if a way is found to end the violence.

A conference with law officers from out of state on security for such events winds up Tuesday.
