HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Police in Hoover are investigating after an employee was found shot to death at a hotel.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/ZHzKyE ) police received a 911 call from the Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa at 5:19 a.m. Tuesday. Hoover police Capt. Gregg Rector says one employee found another dead in a corridor between the kitchen and a loading dock.

Rector did not immediately release the man’s name but said he works for a janitorial service that cleans the kitchens and restrooms. He likely arrived at work between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Monday night.

Rector said evidence at the scene indicates the victim likely know the shooter.

Police interviewed other employees at the hotel and released them. An autopsy was expected Tuesday.
