ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) - A judge in Rock Springs has set bail at $1 million each for parents facing charges of first-degree murder in the death of their baby daughter.

The Rock Springs Rocket-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1uE5k9y ) 26-year-old Jacob Triplett and 24-year-old Amanda Triplett made their initial appearance Monday in Rock Springs Circuit Court.

Prosecutors have charged the couple with murder in the death of their 4-month-old daughter and with abuse of their three other children.

Judge Craig Jones set a preliminary hearing for Sept. 30 in Rock Springs to determine whether the couple should stand trial. They remain in jail.

Amanda Triplett summoned police Sept. 15 after finding the girl unresponsive. The girl died Sept. 17 at a Utah hospital and authorities say there were signs of abuse on her and her surviving siblings.
