FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota State University football team has retained its top ranking in both NCAA Football Championship Subdivision polls, and even earned votes in the upper-tier Football Bowl Subdivision poll.

The Bison beat Montana 22-10 over the weekend. Montana at the time was ranked fourth in the Sports Network poll and third in the coaches’ poll.

NDSU got all 26 first-place votes in this week’s coaches’ poll and 150 of the 159 first-place votes in the Sports Network poll. The Bison also got three total votes in the latest FBS poll. NDSU earlier this season handily beat Iowa State, an FBS school.

Eastern Washington was second and Coastal Carolina third in both of this week’s FCS polls.
