ADDISON, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife is inviting the public to the annual Dead Creek Wildlife Day in Addison.

The Saturday, Oct. 4, event has been listed as one of Vermont’s “Top 10 Fall Events.”

Activities include illustrated talks, live wildlife presentations, and fishing and hunting tips. New this year is a seminar on game preparation and cooking.

The event is hosted by Vermont Fish and Wildlife, the state Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation, Otter Creek Audubon Society, and Vermont Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs.

It will be held at the Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area on Route 17 west of Route 22A.

All events are free.
