PERRY, Mo. (AP) - No one was injured when a single-engine airplane made an emergency landing on a highway in northeast Missouri.

Ralls County Chief Deputy Chris Flynn says mechanical problems forced the plane to land on Missouri 19 near Perry Monday afternoon.

Flynn says the plane was flying from Texas to Quincy, Illinois, when it had to land.

The Quincy Herald-Whig reports (https://bit.ly/ZbSBC2 ) the pilot was the only person on board and was not injured. No damage to the plane or the highway was reported.
