LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The daughter of baseball great Ted Williams is visiting the Louisville Slugger Museum next month.

Claudia Williams will be at the downtown Louisville museum on Oct. 11 for its “Ted Williams Day.”

She will discuss her memoir “Ted Williams, My Father,” and the book about the Red Sox legendary hitter will be available for purchase. She will read a short passage from the book in the morning.

Fans who wear Red Sox gear will receive free admission to the museum and will be eligible to win a personalized Red Sox Louisville Slugger bat. A bat used by Ted Williams will be removed from display and guests will have a chance to hold it.

The day will also feature Red Sox-themed bat vault tours.
