FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - University of Arkansas cross country running Dominique Scott has been named the Division I Cross Country National Athlete of the Week.

Scott was selected by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association after she competed Saturday at the Missouri Southern Stampede.

Scott ran a career-best 16:32.78 to win the 5K at the meet. Her time also set a meet record.

The USTFCCCA communications staff selects a male and female athlete of the week each week in each of the three NCAA divisions.
