PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Police in Parkersburg say a St. Marys man being sought in the death of a 1-year-old girl has been captured in Mexico.

Police Chief Joseph Martin tells media outlets that 30-year-old Curtis Dean Richards II was caught in Mexico City on Monday night with the help of the FBI and the U.S. Marshal Service.

Martin says the girl died Aug. 5 while she was left in Richards’ care at her mother’s apartment. A grand jury indicted Richards earlier this month on a murder charge.
