PAINCOURTVILLE, La. (AP) - Up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of whoever’s responsible for the burglary and theft of firearms from a licensed gun dealer in Paincourtville.

The reward is being split by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the National Sports Shooting Foundation, a trade association for the firearms industry.

The ATF said Tuesday that Sagona’s True Value Hardware was burglarized Saturday at about 11:25 p.m. and multiple firearms were stolen. The store’s surveillance cameras show what appears to be a black man, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing light blue jeans, a brown hooded jacket and red baseball cap.
