LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in Lansing say they have identified a decomposed body found in the backyard of a home.

Police say in a statement that they’re treating Tuesday’s discovery as a suspicious death and they’re trying to determine what led to the death of 27-year-old Bobby Duvale Brown.

The Lansing State Journal reports a company hired to mow grass at the property found the body. Lansing police Capt. Darin Southworth says the body may have been in the yard for “days or weeks.”

Southworth said in the statement that the autopsy hasn’t been completed and the investigation continues.
