JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) - The Rock County Coroner’s Office says the body found in a burned car in Janesville is that of an adult female. But, that person has not yet been identified.

WKOW-TV (https://bit.ly/1uWGZ1f ) reports an autopsy is expected to be done Wednesday. The burned car was found Tuesday at a dead end in a remote part of Janesville. Firefighters found the woman’s body after they were called to the car fire.

Some public works employees had noticed smoke in the area and called authorities.
