MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Former Florida State and West Virginia University football coach Bobby Bowden is returning to Morgantown for WVU’s homecoming festivities.

The university says Bowden and his wife Ann will serve as honorary parade marshals for the annual parade on Oct. 3. They also will be recognized on Oct. 4 during halftime of the WVU-Kansas game.

Bowden served as WVU’s head football coach from 1969 to 1976, when he left to become head coach at Florida State.

Ann Bowden worked with children in Monongalia County through kindergarten and local Head Start programs.
