WASHINGTON (AP) - A brake problem on an orange line train at Rosslyn caused smoke and an acrid smell in the station, and passengers were asked to get off the train.

Metro spokeswoman Morgan Dye confirmed there was a brake problem with one train at the station Wednesday. Passengers were asked to get off the train around 8:30 a.m. Dye says the incident may have caused minor delays.

Dye said it wasn’t clear what caused the brake problem but said there were no flames associated with the smoke and called the incident “a pretty standard issue.”
