GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A 20-year-old Jackson County man has admitted he helped steal firearms, including fully automatic machine guns and silencers, from the Moss Point home of a licensed federal firearms dealer.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1yqAszO ) Theodore Dempsey Towne pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court. His sentencing is set for Dec. 18.

Towne is one of seven people set for trial on charges stemming from the May 13 break-in. Court documents show five of them have decided to change their pleas.

An eighth person arrested in the case is a pregnant mother who has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misprision of felony — knowing a crime was being committed but failing to report it.

Jessica Mariana Romero will be sentenced Dec. 3.
