RONAN, Mont. (AP) - A 25-year-old Ronan man was killed when his car struck a flatbed commercial truck on U.S. Highway 93 between Pablo and Ronan.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the commercial truck driven by a 47-year-old Polson man turned north onto the highway at about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The patrol says the victim, who was northbound, swerved to try to avoid hitting the truck, but collided with the rear of the vehicle and spun into the guardrail. The driver of the truck was not injured.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
