TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) - Authorities in southeastern Massachusetts are looking for a couple who allegedly kidnapped a woman at gunpoint, threw her in the trunk of a car and drive her south on Route 24 until she escaped in Taunton.

The victim was kidnapped in the Boston area on Tuesday evening.

She escaped at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. Other motorists assisted the victim and called police.

Authorities are now looking for 28-year-old Adynew Alves, of Boston, and 28-year-old Stephanie Walker, of Lawrence. They are believed to be driving a blue 1996 Nissan Sentra with Massachusetts license plate 478PK4.

The vehicle may have damage to the rear lights.

Police did not disclose a possible motive.
