BUTLER, Pa. (AP) - Police have charged a western Pennsylvania woman with endangering her three young children after a postal carrier called 911 when he saw the woman’s 3-year-old son wandering outside wearing only a dirty diaper.

Butler police on Monday filed the charges against 30-year-old Katrina Williams, stemming from an incident Sept. 16.

That’s when police say the toddler was seen outside about 3:45 p.m. When police responded, Williams’ two other children, ages 6 and 10, arrived home from school. The older child told police their mother was supposed to pick them up at school, but didn’t.

Instead, police say they found Williams passed out and “extremely intoxicated” on her kitchen floor.

Butler County welfare officials have taken custody of the children. Online court records don’t list an attorney for Williams.
