PHENIX CITY, Ala. (AP) - Police in the east Alabama town of Phenix City say they’re seeking more suspects in the killing of 17-year-old Central High School senior Tyrelle Kynard.

One suspect — a 17-year-old Phenix City boy — faces a murder charge after Kynard was shot in the head after a party let out at a community center. He died early Sunday morning.

Assistant Police Chief Robert Casteel tells The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (https://bit.ly/1sXxdHR) that officers are still looking for an unknown number of suspects who also were firing weapons behind the community center.

Details of a possible motive have not been released.

The killing is the second homicide this year in Phenix City, just across the Chattahoochee River from Columbus, Georgia.
