COMMACK, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island school district is investigating an inappropriate photograph of students that has surfaced.

The photo appeared less than a week after two other pictures appeared on social media of five Commack School District students in T-shirts spelling out the word “rape.”

School officials released a statement Tuesday saying the new photograph “depicts a word that is in clear violation of our Code of Conduct.” It did not say what word was used.

According to Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1r8gLsr ), the district statement said it would take “all necessary steps to investigate and address the issues surrounding these actions.”

School officials declined to comment further.
