WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - Coffee drinkers in the state’s oil country could become familiar with the green-aproned barista.

A North Dakota company is negotiating the lease of a property in Williston that could become the house of the area’s first Starbucks. The nearest store is two hours away in Minot.

The Williston Herald (https://bit.ly/1uHKHtk ) reports that if city officials approve the lease during an upcoming meeting, Williston Holding Company will move forward with a Starbucks visit in October.

Marcus Jundt is the CEO of WHC. He says the proposed location in Williston is the best in the whole state.

The company develops, owns, operates and invests in various projects including restaurants, apartments and transportation in the greater Bakken region of North Dakota.
