CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) - New York state police say they’ve arrested two men on charges of distributing thousands of bags of heroin on eastern Long Island.

Jeffrey Iarocci and Michael Wehle were arrested Tuesday after state police say they executed a search warrant at their Selden home.

The pair was arraigned Wednesday in district court in Central Islip (EYE’-slihp). Bail for each was set at $50,000.

Whele was represented by an attorney for Legal Aid, which does not comment on pending cases. Iarocci’s attorney did not immediately return a telephone call for comment.

Investigators say they observed a high volume of drug activity at the Selden home.
