TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Mercer County prosecutors say a Trenton teenager charged in a shooting that left a 9-year-old girl wounded will be tried as an adult.

The Times of Trenton (https://bit.ly/1uHbtCa) reports that 17-year-old Ali Abdullah and 32-year-old Jebreel Abdullah, also of Trenton, are charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses in the May 15 shooting. But authorities told the newspaper it’s not clear if the two are related.

The injured girl suffered wounds to her shoulder, leg and chest in the shooting.

A motive for the shooting has not been disclosed, and authorities have not commented on what roles the suspects allegedly played in the incident.

Jebreel Abdullah remains free on $100,000 bail. But Ali Abdullah remains jailed on $50,000 cash bail.
