OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Thunder say the team’s NBA Development League team will be called the Blue.

Thunder senior vice president Brian Byrnes said Wednesday that blue is a primary color for the Thunder and represents the loyalty of the team’s fans who wear blue shirts and fly blue Thunder flags.

The Thunder earlier this year moved the team to Oklahoma City from Tulsa where it was known as the 66ers. The move came after the team was notified that the facility in Bixby where it had played the past two seasons would no longer be available.

The Blue will play most of its home games at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City - although four games will be at Chesapeake Energy Arena where the Thunder play their home games.
